Dice your onion and chop the bacon as well. Over medium heat, fry the bacon until crispy and remove with a slotted spoon. In the same pan, add your onions and cook for 3-4 minutes or until they start to get tender. Next, add your garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes. Add your cabbage and mix to combine. Season to taste with listed seasonings and add in your worcestershire, sugar, and vinegar. Add butter and cover the pan with a lid and cook for 10 minutes on low. Cook, covered, checking occasionally, until cabbage is tender. Taste as you go and adjust the seasoning as needed. Add your bacon once the cabbage is tender and mix to combine. You can add sausage to this as well.

Quick and easy cabbage pie that anyone can make at home. This recipe teaches even the worst bakers to bake an amazingly delicious pie. All you need is 20 minutes of work. ► Full recipe: 🤍 ► Equipment I used in this video: 🤍 Ingredients: For the filling: 3 tablespoon Olive oil 1 Onion, chopped 1 Large carrot, grated 1 Bell pepper, diced 1/2 head Cabbage (500g), thinly sliced Salt Pepper Other spices of your choice For the dough: 5 tablespoons Mayonnaise 1 teaspoon Sugar 1/2 teaspoon Salt 1 bag (10g) Baking powder 2/3 cup (84g) Flour 3 Eggs For topping: White sesame seeds/black sesame seeds/nigella seeds Directions: 1. Preheat oven to 190C (375F). Line a parchment paper on the bottom of a 23cm (9-inch) round baking pan. Set aside. 2. Make the filling: in a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add chopped onion and sauté until lightly golden, about 6-7 minutes. Add grated carrot, diced bell pepper and cook, stirring frequently, for about 5-7 minutes. Add sliced cabbage and cook for 10-12 minutes. 3. Turn the heat off and set aside. 4. In a bowl mix mayonnaise, sugar, salt, baking powder and 3 tablespoons of flour. Mix until smooth. Add eggs and mix until combined and smooth. Add the rest of the flour and mix until smooth and a bit thick (as shown in the video). 5. Pour half of the batter to the bottom of the baking pan and spread evenly. Then, spread the filling over the batter, then pour the rest of the batter on top of the filling and spread evenly. 6. Sprinkle some white sesame seeds/black sesame seeds/nigella seeds (optional). 7. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown on top. 8. If you don't have that, add ½ a can (200g/7oz), diced tomatoes, and around 2 cups of shredded cabbage. 3. Add 1 can (425g/15oz) of kidney beans that have been drained and rinsed. 4. Add 1 tsp of dried rosemary and salt to taste. 5. Add just enough cabbage water, water, or vegetable stock to cover the ingredients and place the lid on and cook on low for 20 minutes. 6. Preparation Time: 15 minutes Cook Time: 1 1/2 hour Servings: 6 Ingredients 1 lb (450 g) Ontario lean ground pork 5 cups (1250 mL) cabbage, chopped 1 onion, diced 1 cup (250 mL) low sodium beef broth 1 cup (250 mL) of pasta sauce 1- 28 fl oz (796 mL) can diced tomatoes 1/2 cup (125 mL) brown rice, dry Cooking Directions 1. Preheat oven to 400°F (250°C). 2. In a frying pan, brown the Ontario lean ground pork. Once browned, transfer to a 9”x13” baking dish. 3. Apply a thin layer of olive on both sides of your cabbages slices and season them with salt, peper and paprika. Roast for 20 to 25 minutes.
